“Josh, we’re having a family meeting in the living room in an hour.” “K, thanks Mom.” At 15 I’d never heard my parents call a family meeting, so I assumed we were moving, grandma was sick, or something really great like winning the lottery had happened. So, my three older brothers, my parents and I all [...]

I’m asking you on behalf of Nashville for your help. We need homes rebuilt, we need people with skilled trades to put our city back together, we need supplies, we need food sent, we need blankets for the shelters, we need you.

I get choked up when I think that there's a child way down there that may get a blanket or food and think, "I'm clothed and fed... but what about someone to love me... what about a family?..." I can't even begin to comprehend the idea that because of one night, someone's life will NEVER be the same. The earthquake changed their lives in less than a minute, why can't we change their lives in less than a day? Love Wins!

He has a way of showing me how I fall short in my faith and what it means to let God move in my life. He has a way of loving me without ever hugging me. I feel closer to God through the gifts Brandon has been given.

I feel like God has that same love for us. I feel like He adores me the same way that I adore Cash. I feel like He traces His hand over the callouses in my heart to help calm me the same way I trace Cash’s cheeks to help her sleep. I feel like God designed you and I with every wrinkle, hair, fingernail, bone and imperfection just so He can grow to love us more for the skin we are in. I feel like He created our hearts that beat and offer this invisible force we call love to show a little more of Himself. I’m Josh. I’m a 22 year old college student. I stand a hair shy of 6 feet tall and I look like every other guy from West Michigan: blue eyed, blonde haired and like to run. You probably can’t hear my northern accent unless you spend enough time around me. I smile a lot and probably spend too much time in coffee shops. My greatest fear is spiders and I definitely am a dog lover. I am the youngest of four boys and I’m a recovering procrastinator. Nice to meet you.

A forewarning: I may offend you in the words to follow. There, now you can’t say I didn’t tell you. I’m going to talk about something that I feel a lot of people have made preconceived notions about. I’m going to do my best to approach this topic with as much love, patience, grace and faith as I expect from you.

A hacker had gotten into our friend's FB account and posted this trash that was immediately transmitted to all of her FB friends including the women's ministry FB page at our church.

The hollow core contained a carefully rolled piece of paper. On it a message had been scrawled in the Czech language: "This is all we can do for you now." A courageous assembly line worker was disarming bombs and scribbled that note. He couldn't end the war, but he could save one plane. He couldn't do everything, but he could do something, and he did it!
