Life After Almost Death – Joshua Wienczkowski

“Josh, we’re having a family meeting in the living room in an hour.” “K, thanks Mom.” At 15 I’d never heard my parents call a family meeting, so I assumed we were moving, grandma was sick, or something really great like winning the lottery had happened. So, my three older brothers, my parents and I all [...]

Music For Music City to Benefit United Way and ‘Restore The Dream’ for Nashville Flood Survivors – Joshua Wienczkowski

I’m asking you on behalf of Nashville for your help. We need homes rebuilt, we need people with skilled trades to put our city back together, we need supplies, we need food sent, we need blankets for the shelters, we need you.

Brandon Bee at the ReCreate Conference – Joshua Wienczkowski

He has a way of showing me how I fall short in my faith and what it means to let God move in my life. He has a way of loving me without ever hugging me. I feel closer to God through the gifts Brandon has been given.

Cash – Joshua Wienczkowski

I feel like God has that same love for us. I feel like He adores me the same way that I adore Cash. I feel like He traces His hand over the callouses in my heart to help calm me the same way I trace Cash’s cheeks to help her sleep. I feel like God designed you and I with every wrinkle, hair, fingernail, bone and imperfection just so He can grow to love us more for the skin we are in. I feel like He created our hearts that beat and offer this invisible force we call love to show a little more of Himself. I feel like every time I look at the unconditional love staring back at me in Cash’s big, brown, droopy eyes, I see a little more of what God intended for love.

The Holidays – Joshua Wienczkowski

I’m Josh. I’m a 22 year old college student. I stand a hair shy of 6 feet tall and I look like every other guy from West Michigan: blue eyed, blonde haired and like to run. You probably can’t hear my northern accent unless you spend enough time around me. I smile a lot and probably spend too much time in coffee shops. My greatest fear is spiders and I definitely am a dog lover. I am the youngest of four boys and I’m a recovering procrastinator. Nice to meet you.

Controversy – Joshua Wienczkowski

A forewarning: I may offend you in the words to follow. There, now you can’t say I didn’t tell you. I’m going to talk about something that I feel a lot of people have made preconceived notions about. I’m going to do my best to approach this topic with as much love, patience, grace and faith as I expect from you.

One Day at a Time – Joshua Wienczkowski

I think the “hit-makers” in life are the people that live earnestly and seek God in all circumstances. Whether provision is incredible and vast or if ends just squeak by and meet, I think when we worry less about those details and focus on what has been given today, just today, He can work in us to live lives and sing of a joy that draws people in. How many times have you heard a terrible song and turned the station or pressed next?

Conversation – Joshua Wienczkowski

It’s like a Where’s Waldo when fall hits. Area codes I didn’t know existed start pouring into my phone from friends across the country changing phones, or numbers I’ve lost. The sheer excitement of seeing numbers I haven’t seen since May is physically exhausting, let alone catching up on months of life experiences.

Diving – Joshua Wienczkowski

He says "go deeper and search for my heart." As much as you think you might run out of air, having the faith to reach the bottom is where He tests us. "Do I go back to the top and keep living this half life, or do I REALLY commit to the life I chose?"

Carcinogen – Joshua Wienczkowski

The physical crave. In my experience before sin, it’s more than just a matter of choosing right or wrong, a simple yes or no. Sin can wrap itself around our souls with its nicotine and tar, can engulf the desires of our hearts and make addiction a real, living, physical ache. James tells us in chapter one, verses fourteen and fifteen, “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin...”
