Peaceful Legacy of a Cantankerous Soul – Jason Elkins

My grandfather passed away a few weeks ago. He was my mother’s father and was 88 years old. My mom is one of my favorite people, and the day he died, we went for a drive and I listened as she shared some stories. They weren’t extremely close.

Perceptions of a 3 and a Half Year Old – Allie Davis

“You be the little person, and I’ll be the big person,” he said. “Ok, sure.” This will be fun, I thought: Impersonating a three-and-a-half-year-old to a three-and-a-half-year-old. I was curious what his interpretation of a “big person” such as myself would be. “Can I have my fruit snacks?” I ask. “No, you can’t.” His tone is quite stern, and he furrows his little eyebrows.

A Bag Full of Psychology For You – Jason Elkins

He said it took a barnyard of convincing on his part to disperse the irritation from the puzzled and now-grumpy psychologist, who felt that my father-in-law might be delivering his own smelly commentary on the frustrating mountain of paperwork.

Rediculously Good Documentary – “Life.Support.Music.”

“Lessons From a Pro” – CHAMPIONS – Mike Cowart Sr.

I was watching the PGA AT&T National golf tournament when there was a news flash announcing the death of Steve McNair, and I was shocked to find out he had been murdered. Steve led his high school team to the MS state championship. He holds collegiate records that have not been broken such as [...]
