Talking about my web statistics tends to make me feel proud and humble simultaneously. Those of you who know me also know I am sometimes overwhelmed by the growth of the magazine.
I’m pleased that this forum has drawn traffic, comments and interest, and I’m really excited about the doors that have been opened for me as a result of this endeavor. The great diversity of contributors and commentary from those of you have graced these pages and my inbox is nothing short of phenomenal.
A great many of you have asked about the numbers, or what’s known as the “Site Traffic”. In response, I wanted to break them down for you. Since launching the magazine in 2008 (actually December of 2007) we have had 163 Published articles by 20 different authors with over 100,000 views and 1000 comments, viewed in over 35 countries.
In addition, 141 websites/blogs have added the “Transparent Christian Magazine Widget” to their websites (and every time a new ‘issue’ is published, all of those widgets automatically update with the new content.)
Add it if you like. (Click on “Get Widget” at the bottom)
Over 100 people have signed up to get Transparent Christian Magazine in their e-mail and if you are interested, you can sign up for that below. The magazine publishes about 3 times per month.
The spice and variety of the ‘eyes of the world’ that have peered into our site have led me to create “The Top 14 Most Unique City Names, that Visited the Magazine in 2008″.
- Rancho Cucamonga, California (I smile every time I say Cucamonga… Try it!)
- Woonsocket, Rhode Island (Woonsocket… Nothing else to say)
- American Fork, Utah (I’m Hungry)
- Punta Gorda, Florida (Means “Fat Point” in Spanish)
- Helotes, Texas (Means “Green Roasting Ear of Corn” in Spanish)
- Roswell, NM (The Truth is Out There!)
- Flowood, Mississippi (I wonder how THIS town was named!)
- Lilburn, GA (Hmmm… No Big Burn?)
- Wallkill, NY (Keep your distance)
- Dacula, GA (Someone Left out the ‘R’)
- Hurlburt Field, Fla (I wonder if this is a party town)
- Rose City, Michigan (I grew up near here)
- Alborg, Denmark (Star Trek Anyone?)
- Etobicoke, Ontario (I have uttered Etobicoke after stubbing my foot)
Thanks again to everyone who visited the site. I hope to see you back in 2009.
Much Love,
Jason
