The war in Iraq has taken back seat to the economy in regards to media coverage.
In the debates, Obama promises he will end the war in Iraq within sixteen months. McCain says the war will end when the commanders indicate that the Iraq government has stabilized and able to maintain stability.
I was standing in line at Hobby Lobby to have some photos framed. The lady in front of me had on a bright lime green tee shirt with U.S.M.C. that included a photo of a marine. Her denim purse also had a picture of that same marine.
I asked her what her son thought about a withdrawal policy.
She said, “Sir, everyday he goes out in 140 degree heat with 70lb. of gear on his back and does what his commander tells him to do. He’ll continue to do that until it is time to come home!”
As she turned to face me, I noticed the front of her tee shirt. It read, “The hardest part is watching him leave!”
Take a moment and thank God for people who go into 140 degree heat with 70lb. of gear on behalf of you and me on a daily basis! They will continue until their assignment is completed!
One of our assignments is to pray for men and women who risk their lives on our behalf. Are we so consumed with the loss in our 401K that we’ve forgotten the heroes?

Mike-
Great article as usual. We spend lots of time worrying about insignificant things.
Love it.

Amen! Coming from a former Marine who still has brothers serving, forget the politics for a moment and sincerely pray for them. Thank God for them!

What candidate would be willing to take their place for our Freedom!
Think about it! Jesus did!
