I thought that if I ‘became a Christian’ all of the things I enjoyed doing would have to stop, and be replaced by reading The Daily Guideposts, making casseroles, shunning old friends and watching preachers on tv.

With today’s economic outlook, I’ve been researching ways to save money. One of my biggest expenses is feeding my two athletic, teenaged boys. So I’m going to get rid of my above ground swimming pool (first contact can come get it) and replace it with a small garden.

Transparent: Nathan, you seem to be ‘living the dream.’ For the people that don’t know, describe your life, as you travel with your family and play music. NCG: Three years ago we decided to put all our things in storage, give up our apartment, buy a motorhome, and hit the road with our 5 children! It was a crazy time, to be sure, but we had no desire for my wife and children to be at home while I was on the road. We said many times that we would either do this together, or we would not try it at all. Since then I've played hundreds of concerts, and as a family we have seen amazing places and met so many wonderful people!

I was standing in line at Hobby Lobby to have some photos framed. The lady in front of me had on a bright lime green tee shirt with U.S.M.C. that included a photo of a marine. Her denim purse also had a picture of that same marine.
