Focusing on The Voyage and Not Your Expectations

Recently I was blessed to spend the weekend with a great friend. During a conversation he mentioned he was able to pay off ALL of his outstanding debt last year. To accomplish this, he moved in with some roommates, worked 2 jobs and did some serious negotiating with his creditors, and was able to 'stroke a check' for the final piece of debt late last fall.

IN LAST WEEK’S COLUMN, I began a story I did not finish, the story of a beautiful young woman who died, leaving a husband and a small child behind. I’d like to tell the rest of the story now, or at least the small part I had in it.
