Ok–Here’s a music quiz….Who’s opened up for Kenny Rogers, is from sunny Florida and can usually be found barefoot, sporting one of the biggest smiles you’ll ever see? That’s Norman Lee with a brand new cd .
Lee’s 4th cd is called Child of God, and each of the 10 tracks has its own bit of treasure. The title track – Child of God sounds like Al Green meets Bryan Duncan. This soulful and up-tempo track tells us, although we face impossible odds, we are anointed and filled with love. That we get our power from the heavens above, and we are the children of God. It’s a great message, and really got my feet and blood moving!
Save Me is a song that any church could add to their worship list. I felt like Norman was inviting me to worship along. The lyrics read like a Psalm:
I sing amazing grace I sing how great thou art, I lift my voice in praise, crying from the heart You are holy, you are holy, In my time of need, down on my knees, sing to me, sing to Me
Somebody Loves Me is a catchy song, with a little reggae beat. This one reminded me that in a world so uncertain, somebody loved me enough to lay his life down for me.
Completely really shows the strength of Norman’s voice (the background vocals are great as well). He sings:
I was praying, I was crying. No one was listening. On my knees my faith was still strong Then I saw the light shinning for me. Heard the angels on high singing to me. By God’ grace my soul was set free. Felt his spirit all over me Completely
I am sure you will love my favorite song on Child of God…It’s Norman’s testimonial song “Moment“. This song has great instrumentation and I really enjoyed the surge of the horns and the sing-along lyric: I still cherish the moment that i said I would follow you, for the rest of my days.
Let me point out one more song for you. One Act of Kindness is a great message for our world today…What little things can you do to brighten up the lives of others? How can you share kindness and compassion? Norman sings: “It don’t take much, to give more than we take. Show a little kindness, when someone is hurting. Give them what they need, change the world around you, one at a time.”
Norman Lee did a great job on this cd. He truly put his best in it, and it shows. Child of God lifts the name of Jesus up, and it will lift your spirits up as well!

I put this cd in my wife’s car for her before she went on a long trip (actually drove from Tennessee to Florida). She called me somewhere in Atlanta in tears and said “WHO IS THIS??” I told her it was a friend of Rockin’ Ron’s—Norman Lee, and she said “this is SO spirit filled,i can hardly contain my emotions. I LOVE it!” She told me she felt the Holy Spirit move while listening to Norman’s cd. Pretty cool testimony!

Ron…
“Amen!” A superlative review of Norman’s newest cd! It has been my pleasure to know Norman as a local favorite here in The Villages doing his Neil Diamond, Elvis, etc. Most recently I have attended the church where Norman is our music minister and often debuts his recently written and composed pieces. Norman wrote “One Act of Kindness” as a favor to http://www.kindnessworks.us and it is our theme song…let us all work to teach fellow humans that kindess and love are what the world needs more of and less violence/hate/negativism so prevalent in society and media today. Norman is a true talent, a devote Christian, and a one of kind being! Thanks, Ron, for your terrific review!

Norman’s anointing really shines through this CD project! If you are blessed to see Norman Lee perform live, it will be a worship experience you’ll always remember. He has the ability to make you laugh, deeply touch your heart, and ultimately draw you closer to God.

Norman Lee really brings it home for so many people. I’ve listened to Child of God (along with God Is With Me and Praise) and each time, there’s a new message and the same soul-filled heart. I think the review hits the mark. God’s blessing on this project

Norman Lee is perhaps the biggest spiritual influence on my son. Our lives haven’t been the same since he’s heard Norman’s music. When we say our prayers at night, my little boy asks Jesus to bless Norman Lee. I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for the time Norman Lee took out of his busy schedule this spring to make an appearance at my son’s school play. Norman’s gift of song is appropriate for all ages and “Show a Little Kindness” should be a national hit in the kid market. The guy is unquestionably one of the most talented and amazing persons God ever set forth on this earth.

Well, anyone who can be described as Al Green meets Bryan Duncan immediately gets my attention. But the rest of the article cemented my “need” to get this CD. Sounds like a wonderful, spirit-filled Christian and a great musical treasure
