Daddy Daughter EmbraceEsther teaches at an elementary school in Sumner County. Yesterday she and another teacher were walking in from the playground. They turned the corner and witnessed a Daddy in full uniform who had returned from serving in Iraq. He had come to pick up his little girl.

When the girl recognized her Dad, she ran and leaped into his arms and nearly squeezed the life out of him! They embraced for several minutes as she squealed and he cried.

Esther also cried as she told of this experience and described it as one of the most moving experiences of her life.

In Ninety Minutes in Heaven Don Piper describes his time in heaven. He struggles to describe his feelings of being reunited with loved ones who were there to greet him! He also describes the light and music but mostly focuses on being reunited with loved ones who had gone before.

The writer of Hebrews talks about a “huge crowd of witnesses watching us from the grandstands”.

Can you imagine what it will be like to walk down streets of gold with your loved ones and giving “high fives” to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and the disciples-then to see Jesus!

As the songwriter says, “I Can Only Imagine!

C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.S stands for:

Christ has eliminated my guilt
His Spirit tells me I am his child
Awesome victory is mine
My mind is set on his Spirit
Power is made perfect in weakness
I have the intercession of the Holy Spirit and Jesus
Only God knows why bad things happen to good people
Nothing separates me from his love
Satan has been defeated!
