RockinRon Artist Spotlight–Commentary on Kerri Crocker’s CD from DJ RockinRon

Kerri CrockerRockinRon Here! I have a new top notch CD I wanted to tell you about. It sounds a little like Nicole Nordeman, but it’s independant artist Kerri Crocker from Texas. Her new cd is called Reason To Be, and my ears are loving it. This is the second release from Kerry and although I really liked her first CD, I can hear her growth as a songwriter, and I would be suprised if this doesn’t win Kerry some awards. Because of my radio connections I get to hear hundreds of cd’s in a year, and this disc has moved to my personal collection.

Reason to Be has 12 tracks and the title track reminds us when we are broken and tired Jesus will be our joy. “I keep pressing forward. Bound by the promise that one day I’ll see my king”

Brand New, reminds us that we are not the same person we were before we met Jesus. “I will praise you for making me just like you. I am new, Brand New”

The track that speaks to me at a deeply personal level is Move. The song address us and the times that we wait for God to ‘Move” in our lives. Move reminds us that God does hear our prayers. He will move among us until all we’ve left to do is move to him.

Worship with Kerri on her song King of my Heart .

“I will embrace you glorious Lord, wonderful lamb you are.
The risen one bright as the sun you are king of my heart.”

All I can say Kerri is that He sure is!!

I have a question for you. Is it your time to do great things for the Lord? Is it your time to draw closer to him? Is it your time for mighty changes? Read ecc.3: 2-8 then listen to the powerful “Time” on this cd.

RockinRon’s final thoughts…

Kerry Crocker’s new CD “Brand New” is soothing till the last note. Beauty in music! This cd is one I highly recommend.

    Thanks for the review, RockinRon! :-) We all have a gift to share, and talent to use for the Lord!!
    I encourage everyone today to be a “worker” for Him!!! You were put on this earth for a specific purpose. It may not be singing or preaching. It could be helping someone with their taxes, giving someone a helping hand… The harvest is great and He needs YOU :-) I pray you are blessed with the message God put on my heart to share…. now take that message and “go into all the world”

    Awesome article RR, and you are so right. Kerri is putting out some beautiful music. She has an amazing gift, and how she is using it is awesome!
    She is definitely a warrior for God, and I know HIS message will be heard through her music. How could anyone not listen?
