A week or so ago I had just finished nursing our 4 month old Reagan, and had her sitting on my lap. Our 2 1/2 year old Hannah came over to talk to Reagan. I guess Reagan was a bit sleepy because she didn’t do her normal cooing and gurgling back at Hannah. So Hannah looked up at me with the sweetest expression on her face and said, “Mama, Reagan’s not talking, I think she needs batteries, Daddy has batteries.”
Now that’s a pretty big sentence for a 2 1/2 year old. Through my laughter I tried to explain that baby Reagan didn’t need batteries. But in her little world she knows that if something in the house isn’t working, Daddy usually fixes it by replacing the batteries, so why should Reagan be any different? I think we have a pretty smart little girl on our hands
I thank God for the laughter my kids bring me every day!

I loved this! Children are so smart and think differently from adults. However, they express themselves so well!

I agree Karen, and they don’t have a filter! They say exactly what they are thinking, both good and bad
.
Thanks for responding! Stay tuned, I have some more articles from Callie, on their way! Glad you found us.
